Fermento comes from the Latin word "fervere" meaning to be in motion. the idea behind fermento is to bring together the people or things who have a restless spirit or a desire to change and innovate. in an effort to offer local, organic, and sustainably sourced plant-based food, Fermento opened its doors on September 3rd, 2017. Located in the heart of Bedstuy-Brooklyn, the  600sqf location serveS breakfast, lunch, and small dinner plates accompanied with a selection of biodynamic and organic wine and beers. 

The world is in perpetual motion and our collective consciousness is becoming aware and moving toward a more plant based way of living. Benedetto Cantarella, creator and owner of Fermento, has created relationships with local farmers and food vendors in order to not damage this planet more than it already has been.
